Objects of Desire is an exhibition of selected prints, paintings and sculptures from Falkirk Council’s art collection, dedicated in the memory of our much-loved colleague and friend, Stephen Palmer.
In May 2005, Falkirk Council presented an exhibition called "Objects of Desire" in the Park Gallery - created by Stephen, our then Arts Development Officer. He invited colleagues to select a piece of work from the art collection and explain why they liked it.
Stephen was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2019 and sadly passed away 18 months later. We have revisited Stephen’s concept and invited staff to choose pieces from the collection as well as share memories of Stephen.
The exhibition runs 23 September – 17 March 2024 in Callendar House.
