The starting point for my paintings is often inspired by a memory of a particular place. The memories of how I felt in that moment are reflected through my colour palette. I love history and the connections we have with our past. Villages steeped in history with a link to days gone by are brought to life through colour. Cityscapes of Edinburgh and Stirling are awash with architecture centuries old adorned with higgledy-piggledy rooftops and windows that dance in the artwork.
