We are delighted that you will be capturing a wedding in Callendar House. To ensure the preservation of our heritage and to respect all visitors, please carefully review the following guidelines:
1. General Guidelines
Photography is allowed for the wedding event, but must be for personal use only unless prior approval for commercial use has been obtained.
Please respect all museum visitors and avoid disrupting their experience.
2. Equipment
Tripods: Only lightweight, compact tripods or monopods are permitted. Ensure these do not block walkways or other visitors' paths.
Drones: Drones and large filming equipment are not allowed unless explicitly approved in advance.
3. Photography of Artifacts
Certain areas or artifacts may be restricted for photography. Always follow signage or instructions from Venue staff regarding prohibited items or areas.
No flash photography around sensitive exhibits or artwork.
4. Preservation of the Building
This is a Grade A Listed Building. Do not touch or lean on any walls or artifacts.
Ensure that no equipment, props, or wedding items damage the property.
5. Guest and Visitor Considerations
Ensure the couple’s guests are aware of the museum’s rules and are considerate of other visitors.
Respect the privacy of museum visitors; avoid photographing them without their consent, especially in the background of wedding shots.
6. Conduct
Maintain a professional manner. Keep noise to a minimum and avoid blocking aisles or walkways.
Do not disrupt any museum events, exhibits, or other visitors while capturing wedding moments.
7. Venue Staff Discretion
Venues have the right to intervene if any guidelines are violated. Your cooperation is expected.
8. Special Requests
If specific areas or private sections are needed for the photoshoot, or if props are being brought in, please coordinate in advance with venue staff.
